Journal - Flying high n' low

Hi Everyone!!!
Just an update of what I have been up to lately.   God has been good and I have been blessed.
Although I am still “homeless,”  I have been staying with a client in a room next to her with my two dogs.  She has mild Alzhiemers and it has been a challenge, but for now it is has been rent free. I just miss my personal stuff and can’t wait till I get my stuff back.  The church is working on a project where if we can find a 2/1 place for $500, they will pay for it. It will room myself and another homeless church member. However, we of course, have to meet the criteria's, which is finding work and being on our own.   I still have funds from a fundraiser statched away to help to get into a place as such.  Although I have a mailing address, I don’t have a home address, or my own bed to sleep in, etc...etc..
Please don’t jump, but they think the cancer may have returned. They are still trying to determined the (5) lesions in my lungs as well.  So we are going to a second opinion and proceed with Chemo/Radiation if need be.  I will know more by the end of the month more information.  I no longer have the SUV.  It could not be saved.  So I am using the bus to get around as well in my well days, Jayne (Judy’s daughter with us) lets me use her car occasionally.   But it’s a blessing in disguise.   I am still working on going back to college. Had to appeal my financial aid. Its amazing how something stupid you did 20 plus years ago comes back to haunt you.   Vocational Rehab is also working on my job search. We just got a report that due to my health, I can only work part time.  (ugh!)
Instead of working with the youth at our church this year, I am concentrating on a new campaign I started in Tim’s memory.  It is call:  Tim’s RUB YOUR HEAD Campaign.   Tim use to love to have his head rubbed. It brought much joy to him.  To be honest, and you can laugh but I am being honest, but whenever I rubbed his head, the look on his face was like he was having an orgasm.  Yes. Really!  But any way, the campaign is in his memory.  And I pray and hope that you as my family and friends will work together with me to make this successful.
The Campaign works on several projects that makes a difference in our community. We are having a fundraising on October 18- Homecoming week for JUDY’s HOUSE.  A home built in the 40’s use to be a ranch that owned acres of land and cattle.  Well, there are still a lot of originals...including door knobs that desperately need to be fixed. To me - a fire hazard.  The project will be worked on November 9 by volunteers from the church and community.  The second project is to raise as much funds as we can for the MS Society. For many years we concentrated on Timothy. Well he is sadly gone now. So now we work on other family members who does need our attention  for a cure.    So on March 1, (Tim’s anniversary date of his death) we will be dumping funds for the MS Society in honor of my uncle and sister and the many out there who suffers from this disease.   The (3) third project is raising funds for the DUCHENNE MEMORIAL WALL.  Like a veteran wall, we are going to recognize our DMD boys,  we have begun the fundraising project and we are still working on this page & the 4th project is for April 3 (Tim’s birthday), we are going to raise funds for the Homeless shelter.
So start to lovingly rub your heads and raise funds for your community in memory of Timothy. You can choose any project to be your’s and focus on that one date.  Remember Timothy by doing something in your community and make a difference today!  For additional information, you may visit his website at: www.rubyourheadcampaign.com
So the next question is for family...How are you doing?  one of the things I talk about in my blog this is just not my journey. But yours too. Since loosing Timothy, how are YOU doing?  We all know how I’m doing. Not only dealing again with the cancer scare, I am still (heavily) grieving. Its like the shockness is wearing off and it does hit me hard.  I have had so many losses this year.  But I look forward to hearing from you.
Well I do hope everyone has a wonderful October.  We will be working on the yard this week. Fun! fun! fun! lots of fresh air and sun....& lots to be thankful for. “We are here, everything around us is pretty good and we are ok..”...that is I tell Judy several times a day. I AM OK!!   No matter what stones satan throws at me, like David, I will beat this Goliath.  I hope you are in it with me.
Safe hugs to all!
