While the new technology has grown so much, the way our cell phones are now made, we all indulge into the "selfie" photos. Are you now laughing? You know why? Because you it is so true!
I laugh now when I see a pastor use their cell phone over a real Bible when preaching their sermons here in America. For me, in my own opinion, its sacrilegious. I'm sorry if you are up there preaching a sermon, and its about God use the book He gave us. Leave the technology to the pastors in a foreign country who can't actually use a Bible because it is forbidden. We are in a REAL world here in America. A country of FREEDOM to use our Bibles. We should use it while we still have that opportunity & privilege.
Anyhow...so I was visiting the Adventist Health System recently and saw these beautiful bronze statues of Jesus when He was by the pool of Bethesda. It was at that moment I realized that was actually our first healthcare system. Jesus!! And He took care of the poor, the sick, the dying and even the dead..all for FREE!!! Wasn't that amazing? Awesome. Beautiful. God did that for us! Because He loved us so much.
These statues were so real. Yes in color they were different but when you are close to them, it was like you can feel His presence next to you. They were large, tall. It was like a real person standing next to you. The closer you got, the more real it seem to me. Who ever made these knew how these statues were going to bless people in so many ways.
After taking the pictures, I went back to my truck and was reviewing my photos...even trying to clean it up. Then I realized I needed to go back, I stood there next to Him and I prayed. I prayed for God to please not only to protect me, & heal me, to bless me, to pour His favor upon me, to guide me, to anoint me...& as I was praying, I found myself placing my hand in His hand. It was like "wow". that was powerful. And at that moment it just hit me. I don't know why and yes you can laugh as I did, but it hit me...I need a good picture of Jesus and me..a Selfie! So I ran back to my truck to get my phone and came and took a few shots.

I'm sure the cars passing and people walking around might had thought I was crazy, but hey, its 2014 and I'm sure Jesus would had loved it too. I'm sharing with you these photos and hope you can see how beautiful Jesus was, yet how loving He appeared to be, how caring and mostly how acceptance He is of us..
