I'm sorry I have not been on the last few days as hoped. Unfortunately on Wednesday, while working in the yard, suddenly I had this terrible pain in my shoulder. I don't know where it came from but I couldn't move it. I tried everything I could to take away the pain but nothing. by the next morning, I ended up in the ER. So they say....Muscles spasms.
By the middle of afternoon, suddenly my cervical was in extreme pain and ran down my left arm (the one with the muscle spasms) felt like my arms were being crushed. I took pain meds and muscles relaxers) and nothing. I ended up in the ER downtown since they were more equipped. I even took the ambulance thinking I would go in faster since the pain was worse. Believe it or not they dumped me in the waiting room...really?! I was crying in tears. The pain was so bad. They finally called me back but dumped me on the stretcher in the hall way. it was like a hour before a nurse showed up. I was still crying and in pain and another hour or so before the doctor showed. and talk about a dense. " I don't know what you want me to do" well hello idiot, you see me crying and in pain, you call the neurologist, or an orthopedic, or the MRI...find out what the source is and TREAT it. you don't need a MD degree to know that.
She put me on an iv and just gave me a muscle relaxer. i cried so much THAt put me to sleep. I awoke a few hours later and they discharged me. NO tests was done. NO specialist was called. I left still in enormous amount of pain and feeling like my nervous system was being attacked. I saw my doctor in office a few hours later and he talked about an MRI (ummm I thought that is why I went to the ER!!!!!).
I, of course, let the medical clinical manager know that as a teaching hospital they are so stupid and they need to learn what PROPER TREATMENT AND CARE is. I give them a F!!!
