The hand to build a Wall

I have been sitting here waiting to write something, but suddenly it is a writers block.  Me?! Yes.  Hard to write with one hand though.

"One hand?" you ask.

i nod my head, "yes."  and chuckle a bit.

I was about ready to do a video for the DUCHENNE MEMORIAL WALL featuring this fabulous park next to the Medical Plaza.  It laid brick memorial stones of people who have passed away. But before I can get into the park, I tripped in the curb and went flying to the ground. Even my eyeglasses flew off. angry but laughing i tried to get up but was in extreme pain in my left arm. i slowly got up and noticed my camera on my phone was still on...(unfortunately I accidentally delete it later).

Although I was in pain, I seem to brave up and continued the video.

An appreciation of what God has plan for us in a memorial garden -- a plan for the Duchenne Memorial Garden.

The pain just got worse and began to swell. I could not get a hold of Judy's daughter, so in pain I drove home. Once she arrived home, we left for the Orthopedic ER (instead of the normal ER). They X-rayed it and examined it. No fractures despite the splinting pain. Although they documented it as a sprain but failed to document it that possible torn ligaments. Due to the swelling, they could not do a cat scan but referred me to a hand specialist. Now mind you, they did not x-ray anything else. They put it in a temporary cast splint on hand/wrist.   This a week later now and it still swollen and still hurts to move however out of habit I try to use it and when angle it, I scream in pain.

So I finally did it!!  Way overdue bit I guess the timing was just right. I finally went to a Grief Support Group.   Met some mothers also struggling with their grief.  But it was nice to finally be among people who gets it...who understands the parental grief.

With Judy's help, I was able to get out a few of my cookbooks I am selling to help raise money for my Guatemala mission.  Also cleaned out stuff to throw away or yard sale.

I just finished reading through the book of 1 Corinthians from the Bible. Such an Amazing book...a book for life as we grow in Christ. Getting excited though as I start to read again my favorite book  of Romans.

So last night, I discovered that the neighbors pulled out our Azaleas to put up their fence. I was furious.  I have spent several painful weeks cleaning and trimming them.  Besides they are suppose to put the fence 1-2 feet within their property, not on the property line. the guy told me he would put the plants back in but has not yet. They are dead since he didn't transplant them right away.

well...since I only one hand to type, and it is taking me longer and loosing my thoughts.

later!
