Journal- Inspire the Hope for Nepal

Inspire  the Hope for Nepal

God brought each of us on this world for a specific reason. He has placed us on earth to be a servant to God.  No- not like a maid to clean after His guests or like a waiter.  A servant- to be of service for Him. It is through us He works His miracles.  We are meant to be here to help each other.

If your joy to be a doctor, a nurse, a Pastor, a teacher, a carpenter, a painter, an electrician, a  social worker or whatever you have found your skill to be in, God gave you that inspiration and prepared a way for you to be who you are today. It is through that inspiration, through that skill that helped you make a difference in this world.  Are you inspired some more? Motivated yet?

I can remember in Timothy's earlier years, when I learned how so many boys in India, Pakistan and Nepal with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.  These boys didn't have the means to get the necessary medical help they needed.  Most were hours away any medical clinics or hospitals.  Some didn't even have the necessary medication. They didn't have needed medical equipment or wheelchairs. Not just powerchairs but didn't even have manual wheelchairs  And some were dying far younger than they should had, at least comparing to boys in other parts of the world included the United States of America.

We live in a world where our country is suppose to be the richest countries in the world and yet, at times we can't even help those who are hungry around the world.  We are so blessed to have what we have; the medical, the specialized physicians, the equipment, and so much more.

Nirmal Khadka lives in Kavre- Banepa Bazar Nepal and suffers from Beckers Muscular dystrophy.   He lives in an area where it is difficult to get around by foot. The rocks, hills and mountains.  His wife carries him around.  Yes, you heard right. His wife carries him around. Because he doesn't have a wheelchair.

Nirmal began the Muscular Dystrophy Organization in Nepal, where he is trying to raise funds to open a local community Medical center for all boys with Beckers and Duchenne that can be in one place and receive the necessary Medical treatment and care to give them the best quality of life.

One of the things I have learned that they desperately need warm clothes, blankets & the right right nutrition for these boys.   This Medical center needs to be built where there is constant power for cough assistance machines, hospital beds, perhaps even Ventilators, and maybe even power wheelchair.   They are in need of medications for their disease and when they are ill.  They need help being seen with RRT's, OT/PT's. Orthopedics, Cardiologists, Neurologists, & family physicians,   Depending where the Medical center is built, they need boardwalks so they can get around better.

And like our boys in America, England, Europe, Asia, they too are looking for a cure.

So...are you inspired yet?  I have goal to have most of the funds raised by April 3 and hopefully to send a team to Nepal by July 1st. I know it will take time, but there are some things that we can start. Would you like to be part of this team, if it was possible for you to go.   What would you like to do?

How would you inspire the Mission for Nepal.
